‘What Stinks?’
- In a viral video, that amassed over 12 million views, TikToker Chloe asked why Kylie Jenner’s and Kim Kardashian’s faces “make them look like they’re always smelling something that stinks” She wanted to know what facial plastic surgery procedures they had undergone to have this “resting stinking face.”
- TikTok users overwhelmingly agreed with Chloe’s perception of Kylie’s and Kim’s “resting stink face.” Several viewers pointed out that Kylie particularly looked like she was “smelling cheese” when she wore the lion dress at the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Paris in January.
- Other viewers also suggested that Chrissy Teigen’s, Kendall Jenner’s, Megan Fox’s and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s faces also always look like something stinks.
- Now, TikTok medical expert Doctor Youn suggests that Kim’s and Kylie’s resting stink faces could be down to a combination of lip filler and nose jobs. Dr. Youn says: “So I think what we’re dealing with here is a combination of a nose job where the nostril has been elevated a bit combined with lip filler where the lip is plumper and maybe even a lip flip or a lip lift to shorten the distance between the nose and the upper lip.
- Meanwhile, Aesthetics doctor Dr. Johnny suggested that their stink face appearances could also be due to excessive filler. Dr. Johnny says: “Too much filler in the mid-section of the face particularly in the [cheek] area can add extra heaviness in the face and affect the muscle activity within that mid-facial area and help everything pull downward and create that stink-like appearance.”
- In an interview with Hommegirls, Kylie denied getting plastic surgery besides lip fillers, saying: “I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face.”
- In a 2022 interview with Allure, Kim denied ever having fillers: “I’ve never filled my cheeks. I’ve never filled my lips.” However, she admitted to having “a little bit of Botox” between her brows.
